Connecting Votifier

  1. Install NuVotifier on your server

NuVotifier listens on its own port, separate from the game port. Note the port you give it, and open it on your firewall or host panel.

  2. Copy your token or public key

NuVotifier v2 uses a token, which is what we recommend. Legacy Votifier v1 uses a public key instead, and we still support it.

  3. Paste it into your listing

Open your server on the dashboard, go to the Vote section, choose v2 or v1, and paste the value along with the Votifier host and port.

  4. Send a test vote

The editor sends a real Votifier packet and reports exactly what happened: a refused connection, a timeout, a handshake that is not Votifier, or a vote your plugin accepted.

Once it works

  1. Your listing shows a rewards badge

Listings that took a vote in the last seven days show that voting is rewarded, on the Vote tab players use.

  2. Votes rank the monthly list

Votes count toward the current calendar month in UTC, and the ranking resets on the 1st, so a new server can climb as fast as an established one.

  3. Votes are checked

One vote per player, per network and per account each day. Votes that look automated or come from alternate accounts are removed and never reach your server.

What is Votifier?

A plugin that listens for a signed message from a server list when somebody votes, so your server can hand out a reward in game. NuVotifier is the maintained version and uses a token; the original Votifier used a public key.

Which port does Votifier use?

Whatever you set in its config, on its own port rather than the game port. 8192 is the common default. The port has to be reachable from the internet, so open it on the firewall or in your host panel.

My test vote fails. What now?

The test says which step failed. A refused connection means nothing is listening on that port; a timeout usually means a firewall; "not a Votifier server" means the port belongs to something else. Check the port first, then the token.

Do I have to reward votes?

No. Players can vote for any listed server. Rewards are what make voting worth repeating, so servers that connect Votifier tend to collect far more of them.
