  2. Add it in Minecraft

Types of zombie servers

Zombie apocalypse servers, in the tradition of MineZ and DayZ, drop you into a large map with scarce loot and hostile zombies everywhere; you scavenge towns, manage food and water, and decide whether to trust other players. Other servers run zombie survival as a minigame, with waves that get harder each round, or infection modes where the fallen join the zombie team.

Do zombie servers need mods?

Most run on plugins and a resource pack, so a normal client can join. Some use modpacks for guns or custom mobs; the listing or website will say if you need one.

How do I join a Minecraft Java server?

Copy the server address, open Minecraft Java Edition, choose Multiplayer, then Add Server. Paste the address, save it, and select Join Server. Keep any port after a colon, and use the game version the server supports.

How do I join a server on Minecraft Bedrock?

Choose Play, open the Servers tab, scroll down, and select Add Server. Enter a name, the address, and the port (19132 unless the listing shows another), then save and join. Consoles only list featured servers by default, so joining other servers there usually needs an extra workaround.
