Guide
What hardcore means on a server
In single-player Hardcore, difficulty is locked to Hard and one death ends the world for you. Hardcore servers bring that risk to multiplayer: depending on the server, a death means a ban until the season ends, a temporary ban, spectator mode, or a lost life from a small pool. Read each server’s rules before you join so you know which one applies.
FAQ
Hardcore server questions
Short answers to what players ask most. Still stuck? Check the Minecraft authentication server status.
What happens when you die on a hardcore server?
It depends on the server. Common rules are a ban until the next reset, a timed ban, being moved to spectator mode, or losing one of a few lives. The listing or the server’s Discord usually spells it out.
Is a hardcore server the same as UHC?
No. UHC is a competitive match where natural health regeneration is turned off. A hardcore server is usually a long-running survival world where death carries a heavy penalty.
How do I join a Minecraft Java server?
Copy the server address, open Minecraft Java Edition, choose Multiplayer, then Add Server. Paste the address, save it, and select Join Server. Keep any port after a colon, and use the game version the server supports.
